I've been a self employed personal trainer now for 15 years with a medical background from having been a paramedic. I do one to one sessions designed around an individual's needs, fitness levels and goals and also offer weight management goals.
I specialise in circuit training which can comprise own bodyweight training, barbells, resistance bands, kettlebells, core, BOSU, running and bike intervals.
I have completed 102 marathons and also the West Highland Way 95 mile footrace twice in under 36 hours and ran the coveted Marathon Des Sables. I have also cycled Lands End to John o'Groats.
All this was after being told I would never run again after a back injury which caused me to have to leave the ambulance service. So never say never! If I can, you can. Fun and motivation is the way forward, not bootcamp tactics. Exercise is to be enjoyed, not endured to make it a natural and enjoyable part of our lifestyles.
